The fact is no one will truly understand you at okay lang yan...
Have you experienced getting humiliated over something that you put your heart unto or been in a situation where no one could understand things as much as you do? By far I can tell you it’s so frustrating. You’d get to see their eyes and their expression and sometimes, unconsciously we offend ourselves by just that.
Personally I often come in situations like that, and honestly it's hard lol. It will drain out the rest of your body cells. Kidding aside, we are just making it look a bit easy to tell here but it’s painful in reality. For instance, we can relate this situation by talking to someone you can only speak with using a foreign language. It is hard to maintain the conversation using their native language and “Magmumukha kang sira” for trying hard. This seems similar to our situation for explaining ourselves to those who cannot really understand things as much as we do. We can easily define them as close-minded ones (I know what you’re thinking) but let’s just say their mind works differently than ours. Each one of us has different mind capacity, experiences and traumas. Even though it's painful, *deep breaths* we are the ones who just understand at the end and YES!! exhausting most of the time. But I think you will be rewarded at some other time. Hang in there.
For every “No one will truly understand and that’s okay” moments in our life. There are still remaining ones who still do truly understand, that’s Jesus and yourself. I don’t know but this comes to my mind while making this draft.
The scripture says, “I offered my back to those who beat me and my cheeks to those who pulled out my beard. I did not hide my face from mockery and spitting.” (Isaiah 50:6)
This scripture happens when Jesus is around elders and scribes who put him into shame during his suffering. Can’t you just? Even, The Lord most high, was put into shame and no wonder people in His time have ever considered and held back to what they have done. In short, He knows you well enough and he feels what you feel. You don’t have to hide them from Him. He once felt it and did not take His back from it all. As a reward, God the Father gave Him the power and authority and it’s timeless.
Lastly, the other person we should not forget who truly understands and none like the other is yourself. Oo ikaw po. Cliché may it sound, pero walang ibang may alam ng favorite color, pagkain na kinain mo kahapon at nung isang araw kung hindi ang kapitbahay n’yo joke. Kung hindi ikaw lang. Kulit e! As you take part, and practice to take control of what you only can. You can let go of what is not yours to carry in the first place. Wag makulit pag hindi kaya. Let go, this includes the opinion of others and your bad opinions towards yourself. Recognizing who you truly are piles up to nurture what you can also be which will give you bigger opportunities despite people being inconsiderate in your pace and maybe for you to find the real ones, you need first to see the fake ones. *pout*
Recognizing and understanding your feelings will make you more aware of who understands you better and those who don’t. But we can’t deny the fact that it’s okay if others will not understand you. But what’s not okay is each time you are just being okay to things that are not obviously okay. Kaya Oy, Gising din!
(This is Optional) Kung ayaw mo, edi see you sa next blog! HAHA
I know you have something in your mind. You can release them by getting a pen and a piece of paper (you can choose one from any of these and be brutally honest answering it…)
Journal Prompts:What is that one thing you truly understand in yourself?
What is that one thing they don’t understand about you?
If you get mocked or offended by something, what is it?
When was the last time you felt understood?
What will be your response if someone misunderstood your feelings?
How will you stand still for what you believe in?
